fotochatter should run on most camera phones out there, but there few basic necessary requirements:
1. Your phone must be able to either run java applications or browse WAP pages.
We have made fotochatter available as both a java application and a WAP site. Although the java application is more powerful, the WAP site is more widely supported. Certain carriers (like Verizon) only run BREW applications, so you will have to use WAP. Others provide data connections behind a proxy (we're looking at you, t-mobile) so even though the java app will run it won't be able to connect. Basic rule: if java won't work, use WAP.
2. Your phone must be able to receive email-to-text messages.
We actually use your phone number and carrier to construct an email address that we use to send messages to your phones. Most carriers enable this functionality by default. If you are not sure, you can check with your carrier.
3. You should be able to email photos from your phone.
You can actually use fotochatter to view photos and make comments even if you don't have a camera phone that can email in photos. But if you want to post photos to the service from your phone, you will need to be email them in from your phone.
